Meet the Doctor

Dr. Nainesh Desai is a Prosthodontist practicing in both Piscataway and East Brunswick, NJ. He obtained the Post-Graduate Certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. As a Prosthodontist, Dr. Desai has advanced training in restoring and replacing teeth.

Being a strong believer in continuing education as a means to ensure that patients receive the highest quality dental care, he is an active member of local, state, national and international organizations. Dr. Desai lectures routinely to fellow dentists on challenging clinical and implant related topics. His work is published in peer-reviewed international journals and he has also received grants for Implant Related research, the results of which have been presented at various National Dental meetings.

Dr. Desai has held faculty positions at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and the University of Detroit Mercy as well as holding the positions of President of Middlesex County Dental Society and Director of the Raritan Valley ITI Study Club.

Residing in East Brunswick with his wife and childhood sweetheart, Gayatri, and his two young sons, their family enjoys leading an active life, love travelling to new places, experiencing new cultures and hiking tall and treacherous mountains.

 Dr. Abhinav Wadkar, graduated with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Nair Hospital Dental College in Mumbai, India in 2009. After a year in private practice he joined the Prosthodontic Residency at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (formerly UMDNJ) in 2010. He was the Chief Resident at his residency program.He graduated in 2013 with a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Masters in Dental Sciences.

Dr. Wadkar earned his DMD from the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2020. He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine from 2014-2024. He was also the Assistant Director of the advanced specialty education in prosthodontics at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine from 2018-2023. 

During his academic career Dr. Wadkar was the course director for multiple courses. His research on internal stresses developed within veneering porcelain applied over zirconia won the Granger Pruden Award from the Northeastern Gnathological Society in 2014. 

With a background in theatre acting and stand up comedy, Dr. Wadkar enjoys giving presentations and enjoys making education an enjoyable experience.

Dr. Minel Simo earned her undergraduate B.S. degree in General Science from Pennsylvania State University, and her D.M.D from Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Simo completed postgraduate training in a Level-1 trauma center as a general practice resident at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. During her residency, she became proficient in all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Simo is an active member of The American Dental Association (ADA), New Jersey Dental Association (NJDA), and Middlesex County Dental Society (MCDS). Dr. Simo is dedicated to excellence, and is passionate about providing the best dental care. When Dr. Simo is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time traveling, hiking, and skiing with her family and friends.
